1st Day of 2nd Grade and New Baseball Team!

Landman officially became a 2nd grader on Monday, August 23, 2010. His answer to "how was the first day?" .... It was good. He is not one to go into details about school!
He was not thrilled about taking first day of school photos either, so he got in trouble before he even went to school on the first day! And no - we didn't even make it through the first week with a smiley face everyday. Sigh...

He has also started playing baseball again, and this time for an actual "coach". So far daddy and I are impressed with these coaches. They really seem to know how to teach kids to play baseball and are not out there just to try and live vicariously through their kids. They also don't go out to the parking lot after the game and drink beverages out of red plastic cups...if you get my drift!
The team is called the North Texas Shorthorns. They even have a Web site. So go check out player and team stats at www.ntxshorthorns.com. The 8U team. These guys are gungho, but in a good postive way! He is still doing karate...the change in attitude that karate was supposed to bring about hasn't completely taken hold yet, but we still have faith and hope! LOL!
