Making Bottles

The routine of my life nowadays! Yes, breastfeeding would be a LOT Cheaper and quicker I reckon, but it was also making me go a little bit nuts... no, scratch that, it was making me a lot nuts! Way too many hormones pumping. No thank you! Everyone in my life is super glad I have stopped! My poor husband's life was pure hell I am quite certain! My wonderful parents were doing everything they could to keep me and my husband sane!

So here is a question that is completely off target - but why in the WORLD would women who are going through menopause take hormones! Once they stop, why would you ever want them to continue??

Anyways - So now, my life consists of making large batches of formula, pouring bottles, washing bottles, sterilizing bottles, and repeat!

We took Reid and Ella back to the doctor this week searching for relief from the acid reflux. Ella's had gotten to the point of unbearable and it looked like Reid was heading that direction. Poor little Ella was constantly screaming in pain and spitting up.
The doctor gave us some meds that will reduce the amount of acid her stomach produces and we are putting rice in their formula as well as keeping them in an up right position after they eat. I have also taken to letting them sleep in their swings during the day, which they really enjoy. I think mainly because they are sitting up and don't have the reflux all the time! So we pray that the reflux issue continues to improve!

Reid weighed in at a whopping 10lbs. 1 oz. and Ella was 8lbs. 3 oz. Funny that that seems so huge! haahaha!

Thriller had his Christmas party at school today. As usual utter chaos, but at least it was more enjoyable than last years! Plus there were only like 4 other mothers there, which was so nice!

Can't believe Christmas is only a week away! I have done absolutely nothing! My brain just can't even wrap around christmas shopping! Merry Christmas! hahaha

The Irony of It All

Just wanted to post some pictures of Reid in his convict outfit!
Isn't it ironic that he is named after a police officer and yet we have dressed him in jailhouse attire! Hope it isn't eerie foreshadowing!

What... I am innocent I swear! Copper beat the confession outta me!

Oh! I am accused of being cute!... Yes, I am guilty of that!

Ella having a little of bit of playtime and actually NOT screaming! Peace on Earth for a few minutes!

Just a Swingin'

Reid enjoying his swing.

Ella actually being quiet for a few minutes!

MeeMaw and Pops bought both Reid and Ella swings and MeeMaw delivered them today. Early Christmas presents if you will! We are hoping that the swings will give the hubby and I some relief. Little Miss Ella has decided that being held is the only way to sleep!!! Which has made getting anything done a little difficult! I think it is about 60% wanting to be held and about 40% fussiness from gas and reflux - poor little girl!

Reid got tired of her constantly making noise too!

Sometimes buttoning those little outfits is just too time consuming! hahaha (you might be a redneck if your kids' diapers hang out!)
Reid has figured out that his grumpy pants sister gets all the attention, so he has decided that screaming gets you held! And we know that is what it is, because both of them immediately stop screaming as soon as someone walks up to pick them up. That will cut it off even before you pick them up... they stop just knowing they are going to get picked up!!

I think we are going to have two very high maintance children! Well, three high maintance kiddos that is. Older brother is still very demanding of our time. He is making sure he gets his attention quota! He is a very good big brother though. He stood over Ella with a rattle for about 20 minutes tonight just rattling it at her to get her to stop screaming. He also always makes sure that no blankets or anything are to close to their faces "so they can breathe".

The other day I was bathing Ella and Landman heard her crying and he came into the bathroom and asked "What are you doing to MY Ella Bean?" He is very concerned that they always be happy!

He still didn't make the All A Honor Roll. Brought home one stinkin' B... in Math class. Unfortunately looks like he may be like his parents and more of an English type of student!

Desperate Times Call for Desperate Measures

Two little babies screaming at the top of their lungs for food is definately Desperate Times in my book! Mark had gone to pick up Landman from school and the kiddos did not want to wait another minute to eat! So this is how Mark and Landman found us when they got home!

Personal space is just not an option with these two!

Just relaxin' on the quilt that Mawmaw made them! Doesn't Ella look like she is getting ready to sock Reid in the ear!

Things around here have been business as usual, for the most part!

Once again - desperate times call for desperate measures. Everyone wanted to be held or at least have body contact!

Thriller is supposed to come home with his report card today. Even he is very anxious and seriously hoping it is all A's. He knows the fate of a Nintendo DS is riding on this report card! hahaha!

Reid and Ella had a doctor's appointment this week and .... drum roll please....

Reid was 8lbs. 13 oz. and 21 inches long and Ella was 7lbs. 3 oz and 20 inches long! They are practically chubbly little babies! hahaha! Brother is definately bigger but I think that is simply because he sleeps all the time and little miss thang is generally awake and either pitching a fit or just being miss bright eyes!

It actually snowed this morning. It didn't stick of course but it did snow! Reid and Ella enjoyed the day lounging in front of a nice cozy fire!

They got to meet their Uncles Cameron and Jordon and Aunt Lori this past weekend. Of course Uncle Cameron got a little freaked out because he accidently forgot and touched the BOTTOM OF REID'S FOOT BEFORE HE WASHED and ANTI-BAC'ed his hands! oh, if only everyone was a germaphobic as Cam! Even I (who is just as bad as my brother!) was like "Cameron! I don't think he is going to be licking the bottom of his foot just yet! he can't even hold his own head up completely!
