Sneaking Around!

Just noticed that Mark and Landman were in Landman's room with the door shut. They HAD been playing football all day on the playstation, so I thought it strange that suddenly the door was shut! So I creep up and slowly push open the door to find MY HUSBAND playing CALL OF DUTY on the playstation!!!! Landman is not allowed to play war games on the video game and Daddy knows this!! Even Mawmaw has said she doesn't like those war games! Way to graphic for a 6 year old!

My husband was trying to hide this from me! Basically he was sneaking around behind my back because he knows I don't allow the war games either! It is bad enough that Landman plays any games on that thing, but playing grownup games is really bad!

FYI to my husband - I consider this a form of lying! Something you said you would never do to me when we first started dating!
I feel like I married Doug Heffernan off King of Queens! Makes me want to retrack my statement on the previous post - I think maybe he doesn't deserve to go deer hunting after all!!!

hahahaha!

But You Should See The Other Guy!

Face is just a little swollen...

Well, since the fact that the other guy was a baseball, thriller definately got the worst of it! Daddy decided to hit him a few fly balls last weekend and someone attempted to catch it with his face rather than his glove! I told him I was going to tell people Ella hit him! He doesn't think people will believe that!

Daddy and his little girl

Don't ask how he actually got them to that position!

Just waiting calmly for someone to bring me my bottle.

Maybe nappin' with my brother isn't so bad after all!

Other than the excitement of a black eye, our lives consist of feeding and changing diapers of two sometimes very tempermental little ones! But we can't complain because they are packin' on the pounds. At last doctors appointment Reid was 6lbs 11 oz. and little miss Ella was 6lbs 1 oz. She is going to just be a petite little thing because she certainly still looks like a little bitty thing!
Getting ready to make their first trip to Comanche for Thanksgiving... really just so daddy can go deer hunting, but I guess we will let him! He is a pretty good daddy and he deserves it.

Meeting Mawmaw and Pawpaw

Pawpaw with Ella and Mawmaw with Reid

Pawpaw with a sleeping Reid...shocking...

Mawmaw with a worn out little Ella...I know I know, she is wearing a dinosaur outfit, not very girly, but it doesn't fit her brother anymore and momma had yet to do laundry, so those are going to be the breaks for the little Princess sometimes!

Mawmaw and Pawpaw got to make the trip to Fort Worth to meet the two new little ones. Mark and I were so happy they finally got to hold the little turkeys. Last time they got to see Reid and Ella, both were sleeping in their nice little isoletes in the hospital.

Other than getting to see the grandparents, our days and nights pretty much consist of bottle feeding, changing diapers, sleeping and washing clothes and bottles... it is a never ending routine. Luckily, Mark and I get to trade out on who is the exhausted one. He picks up my slack when I am out for the count and I try to do the same for him. Which he is in the bedroom taking a nap right now, while I mix formula and fill bottles... well I am taking a break from that to do this obviously, but you get my point!

Pictures and more pictures - enjoy!

Just chillin' with daddy...I think we may be watching Adam-12!
I think this was brother's position in the womb, therefore little Ella had to stay scrunched up all the time! Thanks Reid!

We're HOME & Overwhelmed!

Reid and Ella holding hands....Aaaawww!

We came home from the hospital on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2009! It has been wonderful and overwhelming all in one! New babies are wonderful, beautiful and TERRIFYING!!

We had our first pediatrician appointment on Friday. That went well. Of course I was completely paranoid about anyone getting within 10 feet of them... but I am just going to have to learn to deal with it! There were other new parents in there with their babies having their first doctor appointment as well, and I just kept looking at them thinking..."Just one baby, you got it easy!" I told Mark, I wonder if they are looking at us with our two little babies and thinking "Sheesh, you poor suckers!"

So far we are doing pretty good operating on VERY LITTLE SLEEP!

Pops with an armful of baby!
Can't say enough wonderful things about my parents who have been such an amazing help, from just being here, to cleaning and cooking to taking care of Landman. Who is a very proud big brother by the way. If he hears one of them as much as let out a sigh, he is over there checking on them. Really concerned that Ella is doing okay.... Such as sweet boy!

Very protective big brother with his little sister Ella.
