Shoe Fettish Begins!
So my little ladybug's shoe obsession is beginning early! Meemaw and I went shopping at Melisa's favorite spot and found these adorable little moccasins with purple bows for her! What is most shocking is that they cost what a pair of MY shoes might cost! But she did love them! So cute actually on her. Now I just have to get her the matching little purple dress!

CLEAN!
My Worse Fears!
It has been a super long week! The one thing I wanted NOT to happen until the twins were about 10 years old finally happened! Reid got sick! NO! NO! Lets just say our diapers were a very scary place and they still are but gradually improving I say cautiously! The doctor tested for a bunch of different viruses and bacterias and they all came back negative, so we think it maybe is just some crazy thing or related to teething. Little guy just not feeling like himself! Doc said sometimes stuff just falls out of the sky! Great!
It also hasn't helped that I think he is going to have a bad time with the teething. Poor guy just screams and wants to cling on me, he is constantly cramming his hands or anything he can get into his mouth, so I know it is hurting him.
Little Ella just plugs right along like no big deal and just continues to be a wild and crazy girl! She is such a little handful!
I finally just gave up this morning on trying to keep them from getting into their food and making a gigantic mess. I just let them go to town! Alot less stressful for me until I have to bathe them and try to clean up the mess times TWO! But they sure were cute making the mess!

On Our Own
We have been working on holding our own bottles and we are getting pretty darn good! Every now and then we still want to have someone hold them for us and instead of picking them up we just scream at the top of our lungs until momma holds them for us! Oh my poor little goobers are growing up so fast! They are just too cute! Love them!
Containment!
Containment has become the name of the game around our household. It is totally wild. I think Meemaw and Pops are the only two people who can truly understand what a handful TWO little ones are. Both Meemaw and Pops have bravely babysat for me an entire day by themselves!
It was so funny to walk in the house each day when either my mom or my dad had been babysitting. The atmosphere was completely different and totally in line with their own personalities.
When I would walk through the door and my mom was babysitting - every light in the house was on. The t.v. was blaring, I think a radio might of been going too. The living room looked like a toy explosion had happened, kids were everywhere and Meemaw was trying to talk on the phone! Totally my mom! Constant action and lots of stuff going on at the same time! Of course the little ones LOVE IT!
When I walked through the door when my dad was babysitting, all the lights were off, soft soothing jazz music was playing, one kiddo was asleep in the crib and the other was being rocked in my dads arms. Totally different scene - totally Pops! But yet again, the kiddos also LOVE IT!
I will never be able to tell my parents enough how much they mean to me and how grateful we are for all their help! Physically and Emotionally! LOL!
Back to my attempts at keeping my little movers contained and safe! It is shocking how quickly they can get into things! We have had to cover all the outlets already! They insist on opening kitchen cabinets, and the other day Reid managed to turn the trash can over and cover himself with a bunch of trash and leftovers I had just cleaned out of the refridge!
So my days are filled with constantly trying to wrangle them, keep them happy about being contained, (which they hate) and keep them from getting into something they shouldn't be in. They both also are getting to the point that they want to be standing. Given the chance they will both pull themselves up on something, which scares me to no end! I am always worried they are going to fall over backwards and smack their little heads! I guess I will be worried for the rest of my life! I am SO not going to be good at letting go! My poor kids! I already irritate other parents in the drop off line at school I just know - because I can't bring myself to drive away until I see Landman actually go in the doors. I can't bring myself to drive away any sooner even though he is on the sidewalk with all the other kids and there are teachers outside... Just a nervous parent! Thanks mom! I know I get it from you! But I still love you!

My little Reid doing his best to convince me to let them out!

What is bad is that they can both pull the baby gates down, no matter how tightly I wedge the m in somewhere, they can usually gang up and get it pulled down!

Ella's new favorite thing - Nuby - this allows me to give her solid food and not worry too much about her choking. She has to chew it down and almost liquify it before she can get anything through the little holes. As you can see, she stole Reid's as well!

Don't Lay In My Way!
My little tiny rugrats are just getting so big and changing so much everyday. It kinda breaks my heart to walk into the room and see little Ella pulling herself up on the couch or a baby gate. They are going to be walking and running away from me in no time at all! In my mind they are also the smartest little things ever! Ella and Reid are both already so determined to get to something if they want it! Might be a little hard-headed like both their mom and dad! Yes, our household is a little difficult sometimes with both parents having rock hard heads about things!
My baby girl knows that a straight line is the shortest distance between two things so it did not matter that twin brother happened to be in the middle of that straight line. Reid wasn't moving, so she just went over him!

Sadly, I couldn't find the camera quick enough so I missed her in the early stages of going over him.

Working to get her arms out from under herself.

Moments like this that I can see the similarity in their looks and facial expressions. LOVE IT!
Getting ready to go to daddy's office party. Dressed in our new threads from our stylist, Melisa! Little Reid looked so grown up in his big boy shorts with NO snaps in the legs! Precious! And miss Ella was the definition of beautiful in her brown and white ice cream cone ensemble!
Not sure what these two would look like without Melisa's gracious styling! Can't thank you enough - promise to repay you with a FULL DAY of babysitting someday! LOL - Cameron will love that!

This poor child's hair is uncontrollable. A bow can only hide so much! But she does look like she could be on the cover of a magazine! In a mother's totally unbiased opinion!

How unbelievably handsome is this little guy?!!! He is such a little flirt too! He is mister personality. He will just talk and grin at everyone he meets! Ella is a little like her momma. Much more shy and not so quick to take to people! But my little man is going to be a real handful, I can already tell. He is going to be so handsome and probably KNOW it! We might all be in trouble!
Big brother was dressed in his swimsuit and a ratty old t-shirt and in serious need of a haircut, so he did not get his picture taken....I will do better about forcing big brother into pictures from now on!

Another Day, Another Batch of Pictures
Nothing too exhilarating to share but some pictures of the kiddos!

Our poor den has just turned into the playroom. It is just unavoidable I guess. But I so had hoped that we could....but I wouldn't go back to before for any amount of money!

Crazy hair lookin' a little chunky in this picture! LOL!

My little man can get into trouble in a flash!

Our 1st Tooth!
Our 1st tooth has broken through! And the winner is ELLA! Last night as we were laying on the bed I felt her first little tooth! Reid had already crashed, but Ella was up thinking it was party time on the bed with her daddy and me. So I was letting her play with my hands and of course she grabbed my fingers and went to chewing on them. Only tonight something sharp hit my finger rather than the usual smooth gums! My little angel has a tooth coming up in the bottom! It kinda makes me sad! She is getting so big and growing up!

As you can see by the photo, we have also had to lower the mattress in the crib. The little toot has started pulling herself up to have a look around. She can get herself from the laying position to sitting to pulling up now! Reid can pull himself up too but only from the sitting position. Like all men - if he is on his back he isn't going to work to sit up! LOL!
My little goobers are growing up so fast! I can't believe 1 year is just around the corner! I am so happy because of where we started out... but also sad becasue they are just so darn adorable right now!
(Yes, we scratched up the crib when we moved it. My hubby was not too thrilled to be having to move it in the first place, so the words Gentle and Careful were so not happening! oh well what are a couple of paint scuffs! LOL!)

4th of July!
We had an eventful 4th of July this year. Basically it was a family reunion. Everyone came in this weekend, and I mean EVERYONE! I am not real sure that has happened since I graduated college....We have all kinda gone different directions and don't all bombard mom and dad at the same time too much, But we did this weekend!
On Saturday, everyone came to Fort Worth and we went to the horse races at Lone Star Park. It was Tyler & Nicole; Jordon & Lori; Cameron & Melisa; Me & Mark; and Jordan and Landman. MeeMaw and Pops opted to stay at our house and babysit Reid and Ella. An entire day at the races would just be too much for them yet. Everyone had a good time...except my husband who LOST every single race! He had a really BAD day at the betting window! Thankfully we also had seats inside - so when it poured rain for about an hour - we got to stay cool and dry. Cameron, Melisa, Tyler, Nicole, Jordan and Landman stayed for the fireworks after the races. Me, Mark, Jordon and Lori all headed back. I was missing me some twin lovin' and it was WAY past our bedtime now! LOL!

Typical...my hubby reading the newspaper.

Cameron and Melisa

Jordan showing the big Jordon his best Karate Kid move!

Jordan and Landman swimming. Jordan seems to be thinking really seriously about something!

The twins' stylist, Melisa, (LOL) putting Reid to sleep!

Jordon and Lori's dog Abbey decided that the water looked pretty good too!

Had enough!

Abbey waiting on Jordan to throw the football for her.

Landman and Jordan at the horse races! Even Landman and Jordan won more money than my husband! Tsk Tsk Tsk
On Sunday we drove to Comanche to spend the day with everyone at Meemaw and Pops house. I decided I had better get the twins pictures before they got totally dishevled! Of course Landman had gone to Comanche the night before so the hopes of a complete kid photo were dashed!
Are they not just the two cutest things ever? I mean!

Playing in their corner while Pops snaps pictures!
