Bigger Family, Bigger House

Oh the ever changing Taylors! We (well, I should say Mark and my parents) moved us into a bigger house yesterday. It is just a street over from where we were living now, so that was one positive of the moving. We just couldn't stay in that little house with two more kiddos and lots of stuff set to arrive. We lucked into a much nicer and bigger house, so it would of been silly not to jump on it.

Dad and Mark spent all day yesterday moving and Mom spent all day cleaning, setting up and crackin' the whip on Dad and Mark if they ever paused for two seconds! She was determined that if she can get an entire B&BW store rearranged within 12 hours when corporate headquarters had alloted 24 hours for the move - she could get us moved in a day! And by gosh, she basically got it done. Of course, poor Dad and Mark both looked like walking zombies by 9:30 last night when Mom and Dad finally left, but we are MOVED!

They did all this while my (huge... not even going to tell what the scales read at my dr. appt. this week!) pregnant behind sat up at work and was very unproductive! Heard two very good heart beats - it is wild because the kiddos do not appreciate that soundwave system or whatever they use. The minute she touches it to my stomach the boxing match begins! They have gotten strong enough that Mark was even able to barely feel kicking the other night. I let Daddy feel last night and he could too. About 3 more months to go! It is so weird to look at myself in the mirror and see this pregnant person looking back at me! Ummm - no one told me either that my belly button would disappear, well it is still there but I guess now it is an outie!!!! Totally freaks me out!

Landman digs his new room. It is more than twice the size of his last room. In the old room we could barely fit his bed and dresser - now in this new room it looks like the poor child has no furniture! And can you believe we actually have our refrigerator in the kitchen now!! Sounds crazy I know, but at our old house, the spot for the refridge was built for one of the old little refridges, and of course ours is a huge double door stainless steel one - so - out to the garage it went! After a year and a half we just go used to it. Now, the kitchen looks weird with a refrigerator in it! hahaha!

I must say, my parents really are the greatest! I am so spoiled, but in a good way (at least I like to think) I am just spoiled in the fact that I got to have these amazing two people for parents. They just give and give and give and I am not sure I could ever express or show them how much I appreciate them or love them! Growing up you see the things your parents do for you and you understand it is from love but I don't think kids have a grasp of what being a parent entails. I know, my admiration of my parents doubles everyday since I became an adult and parent and now get to experience first hand what they dealt with when I was growing up. I just pray I can be and am half the parent they were and continue to be to me, my husband, my brothers, their wives, and growing number of grandkids! When I was 5 I thought my parents were the greatest, when I was 15 I loved them, when I was 25 I adored them, and now I love, adore, cherish and thank God everyday for them, and know without a doubt - they are the greatest!

FREEDOM!

T-Ball All-Stars is officially OVER! Free at last Free at last!

We ended up getting 2nd place in the Regional Tournament and lost to Aledo in the play-off game for a bid to the State Tournament. Even Landman was relieved to be done with it, I think. Now he gets to have a little vacation and get to go visit grandparents! Also means Daddy and I get a small break as well.
I had to do some fancy photoshop work on our child - because no matter what he is wearing or where he is, the minute the event or school day is over - the shirt comes untucked. At his Kindergarten graduation, the child was practically pulling his shirt tail out as he walked off the stage! Infuriates me just a little!
Just got finished eating a Dilly Bar from Dairy Queen, that one of the girls in the office went and bought me. I forgot just how good those are. Probably could of eaten two. I think the babies also preferred that much more than they did the green apple I had this morning for a snack.
Well, it seems nothing with twins is easy. Went to the "specialist" yesterday. I guess it wouldn't be a pregnancy unless the doctors sufficiently scare the crap out of you. He had a very dry sense of humor - When I was telling him my worries - he very calmly said "Well, life ain't perfect!" in a very relax, chill out, everything is fine - kinda way.
We have almost got the office completely cleaned out - to refill it with baby furniture. Our poor little house is bursting at the seams. We did buy some of those space bags - that suck the air out of everything and shrink it down. LOVE THEM! Landon better not sit still too long or he may get shrunk all in the name of organizing! I will do my best to take photos of the nursery as it comes together!

Babies, T-Ball, Weddings oh My!

So, Pops pointed out to me this past weekend that it has been over a month since I last gave a MGTaylor family update. Since our lives have been consumed it seems with T-Ball All-Stars, I will start there!

Much to the hubby and my dismay, the All-Stars are still going strong. We started the regular spring season at the end of March! Here it is mid July and we are still playing!! And it isn't like we have a game or two a week - we play 4 to 5 nights a week!!

We thought "Oh, T-Ball All-Stars! We will have 1 or 2 tournaments and be done." WRONG! We were so naive. Last week we Won the District Tournament - so we are playing in the Regional tournament this week. Looks like we are going to make it through it in either 1st or 2nd place, which means - we move on to the STATE tournament!! At least there is an end in sight now!

The star Right fielder is on the front row, left!

Now, I am going to brag on him a little bit. So Brace yourselves!
Besides the fact that he thinks he and Michael Young are one in the same person - he really is doing super well! He is by far the best hustler on the team, which I take great pride in. He was even awarded the game ball for his hustle following one game.

Also, as right fielder, one of his jobs is to back up the first baseman. On more than one occassion, he has done so and thrown the runner out at 2nd. Just last night, a ball was hit into left field and the left fielder over threw 2nd base, well, Killer was there to scoop the ball up and he threw the runner out at 3rd. It really is very cool to see him learn the game and know what to do with the ball! He also made a shoe string catch of a fly ball last night. He timed it almost perfectly - he came running up and caught it just before it hit the ground for the last out of the game. He is the FIRST outfielder on our team to catch a fly ball!!!

I just hope his little brother and sister will have as much natural athletic ability as he seems to have! Yes, In case you haven't heard, I am about 20 weeks PREGNANT with twins! A little boy and a little girl! We are super excited and terrified all at the same time! I would post a picture of myself, but I am horrified by what I see! I actually got in the pool with Killer this weekend and I really was the definition of Beached Whale!!

When I stepped on the scale at the doctor's office today- I almost fainted! They also seem to be very active little ones at this point. I can feel lots of activity and today during the sonogram, the technician had a difficult time looking at everything because they kept moving around so much! Killer is excited about the boy - but says he plans on having nothing to do with the little girl, because she can't play baseball....

I have been shocked as how just completely out of it I have been. It is like my mind refuses to think or function sometimes! Not to mention my body- I couldn't even finish eating one night - because lifting the fork exhausted me! But at least now, I am back to being able to at least stay awake for the 10 o'clock news...most of the time! :)

Let's see - everyone returned from Tyler's wedding in Las Vegas in one piece - I think! He and Nicole got married on June 16th at one of the little white chapels there in Vegas. I was a little disappointed she opted for her dad rather than an Elvis impersonator to walk her down the aisle. She is from Shallowater, small town outside of Lubbock, and is a school teacher.

Texas Longhorn breeders continue to be crazy as a bunch of loons! Big shock there!

Okay, I think I have caught up on goings on in our quickly growing family!! From 3 to 5 in the course of nine months... sometimes I wonder just what the hell were we thinking!! (Not really!) :)
