We're Going to the Chapel

And Cameron is FINALLY getting married! hahaha!
Congratulations to my brother and God Bless her, Melissa!

I just know my big brother really appreciates me posting this! hahaha! I will spare everyone the actual engagement story...it is too difficult to write while shaking my head back and forth in amazement/horror/shock/total Cameron behavior! LOL! And once again, God Bless here, she said yes!

Summertime in Comanche

The kids and I went to Comanche for a couple of days - this summer I am going to try my best to go for a day or two every other week or so. Meemaw and Pops spend nine month out of the year coming to Fort Worth every week, so for the three months during the summer we are gonna try and go to them!
Pops had the redneck pool ready and waiting when we got there Monday afternoon. Took about three seconds for them all to get in and about 5 seconds before they were all blue!

Then Meemaw had to show off her three new kittens. Ella and Landon love cats. Reid stayed on my back and loudly proclaimed "I don't like cats, I like dogs!" He is his mama's boy!

The twins and I ventured into the grocery store with Meemaw - about the equivalent of forcing me to walk into a pit of snakes! Only person we ran into was the Mayor - that I can handle! hahaha! But really....only in Comanche is the grocery store just swarming in flies! It sure didn't do much to improve my opinion!
They were EVERYWHERE!

Had to have a few jam sessions! So funny-

And then we made a trip to the movie theater.

Meemaw, Pops, Reid and Ella Grace went to see Monsters University. Landman and I partook of World War Z. I was not optimistic about it - but if you let go of the fact that rabid Zombies are taking over the planet - it is not a bad movie! hahaha! of course I had a headache when I came out because I spent 2 hours clenching my jar! For two hours Brad Pitt was millimeters from becoming a zombie!

Junior Sous Chefs!

Sometimes I have just reached my limit by the time dinner rolls around and just can't bring myself to think about supper. That is when I let my junior sous chefs take over! And honestly, when they decide THEY are doing the cooking, I get yelled at a lot! Seems I am always in their way or doing something I am not supposed to be doing! hahahaha! I may of created monsters! It is kinda funny because sometimes I have to SNEAK into the kitchen and try to get something cooked before they realize it! Because if they see me in the kitchen, then watch out - they are in charge! And sometimes the executive chef needs to handle certain aspects of the cooking process but my sous chefs think they can handle it!
Below they are browning ground beef for a big pot of spaghetti!

And their Uncle Cameron had the audacity to question my boy sous chef's ability and cleanliness! Ha! This coming from the guy that will eat ANY where! He may just have a big batch of Booger brownies headed his way courtesy of Reid Marshall! hahaha!

Ella Grace insists on scrambling her daddy's eggs for his breakfast burritos!

By the time these two are 5-years-old, I will be a woman of leisure! Maybe I will home school them just so I can have their help around the house during the day!

G-E-N-I-U-S-E-S!

So I know everybody thinks their children are the cat's meow, but really, just know mine truly are! hahaha! Amazing how a 3-year-old spelling can be such an exciting thing! hahaha!
